LGBTQIA+ Community Yoga with Lou Thomas (they/he) and Gabi Parkham (she/her)

  • Gather CIC 39-41 Surrey Street Brighton, BN1 3PB (map)

The class will vary based on the needs of who turns up. Expect yoga postures and movements (asana), breath (pranayama), rest and meditation. This class often includes getting up and down from the floor unaided, or with the support of props or a chair, but adaptations can be offered for those who need.

Who this class is for:

  • LGBTQIA+ people who want to practice yoga in queer community.

  • LGBTQIA+ people who've felt excluded or unsure about attending yoga classes.

  • LGBTQIA+ people who are new to yoga or who have many years of practice under their belt - everyone is welcome

Lou and Gabi are accessible, queer, and social justice focused yoga teachers in Brighton, who have been running LGBTQIA+ yoga classes, workshops, and retreats together since 2021.

“We believe wellbeing should be accessible and welcoming for everyone, whatever your age, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, faith, body size, ability or disability. We hope to make a space where people feel not just included but recognised, supported, and celebrated.”
