Introducing the Proud Partner Pathway

The Proud Partner Pathway is our unique approach to providing you with the essential training and resources to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding in the core elements of running an LGBTQIA+ inclusive wellness business.

Every month we deliver a live training workshop focused on a key topic within one of the Pathway modules along with an exclusive member CPD resource.

*Proud Wellness Directory Member Standards

To protect the space and provide LGBTQIA+ clients with reassurance, for all practitioners and businesses on our directory, we request the following documentation/CPD evidence: 

When you join us as a Proud Wellness Partner (PWP) you will be enrolled onto our PWP Onboarding Training. This online training will ensure you have all the information you need about how to make the most of being a Directory member and the support available to you as a PWP. You will also be able to use your official Proud Wellness Partner Verified badge after attendance!

*CPD includes training courses, conferences, workshops and personal research. If you are unsure if your CPD is applicable please contact us here. (You will be asked to provide evidence of CPD undertaken.)

We appreciate that LGBTQIA+ people come from many different backgrounds, often with multiple marginalised identities. We recognise that barriers to equitable training and opportunities exist. Proud Wellness is committed to providing a space for all wellness practitioners, with a special focus on elevating the voices of those of us who are particularly marginalised in the wellness sector.

Proud Wellness Partner Directory FAQ

  • We have created some guidance with examples to support you in providing your CPD hours HERE. CPD activities are broad and can include the following:

    • Evidence of working to support LGBTQIA+ clients either one to one or in a group setting.

    • LGBTQIA+ Inclusion Awareness training courses (online or live in person).

    • LGBTQIA+ Inclusion Specialist training courses (online or live in person).

    • Volunteer work for LGBTQIA+ charities, community groups or similar.

    • Attendance at LGBTQIA+ Education & Human Rights conferences, seminars and learning events.

    • Study and reading about LGBTQIA+ history, rights, current law and legislation.

    • Clinical supervision, peer mentoring, reflective practice.

    A library of suggested resources will be available to support your ongoing CPD soon.

  • As acknowledged above, many of us have been failed by the systems we are living in and may not have access to all of the requested documentation. 

    We are happy to work on a case-by-case basis to support your application. For example if you state you are a licensed therapist you must provide evidence of such but if you state you are a consultant then you can provide insurance proof that you are insured for consultancy services and relevant CPD evidence. 

  • Every year we have a small number of free Partner Plus+ memberships available to queer wellness practitioners or queer owned wellness businesses who make a net profit of less than £20K pa.
